My Bad Habit REVEALED!

My serious addiction that causes me to be late to work at times and costs a total of $2.08. Is my Medium Hazelnut Black Coffee.

Panera Bread... One of the best things they ever did was invent their rewards card... because their rewards are good- and they build up fast! (especially if you frequent there...everyday!)

I've gotton over the fact that they know me, One day... it was one of those days where I went through the drive thru in the morning and back thru on my lunch. She kinda chuckled and said "Have a good REST of your day!"

Taking and editing pictures- I occasionally get asked about a good camera to buy, a good photo editing program, etc. So I’m hosting a Lunch & Learn! Come and learn about why I LOVE Photoshop, what you can do with Photoshop and also learn about other photo editing programs you can use. Bring your cameras and bring your digital pictures!

Cost for workshop is $19, Come Hungry! I will be showing how to “design a Christmas Card!” If you would like to design your own Christmas Card, bring your images on digital CD, flash drive, etc. If you have Photoshop and laptop feel free to bring along!

Day 10: Childhood Memory

I truly think I would say... I would re-live my childhood again! There are so many good memories I have. One being summertime melons... I am really lazy and didn't feel like figuring out our new printer/scanner so I took a picture of a picture, but I think you will get the idea.


A long time back my Grandpa lived on a farm, with my Grandma and their 7 children. He named their farm "Peaceful Meadows" all though I do believe it was anything but peaceful- you should hear our family nights! Unless those 7 children were tucked in bed sleeping, then it was peaceful :) But then again, those boys had everything from pet dogs to pet coons! My Grandpa started a "Truck Patch" in other words a very large area in a field to grow melons and sweet corn. Many Many memories were made in those "Truck Patches"

Every summer we would go out and plant the seeds, and he would tell us how to do it just right with so many seeds in a "hill". Then time would come and Grandpa would round us all together with hoes and rakes and we would go weed the melons! Then more time would pass (and we would go "weeding" a few times) and then he would get us together again to go pick melons! He would tell us how to know when they are just right - they would break off their stem, and smell amazing.


Then he would sell them up town in the back of his cute little trailer, he would never try to get money out of people, he was the opposite- he was more likely to stick an extra melon in their bundle as they loaded them into the car! He always asked us grand kids to come help him sell! This was the highlight! Because he would always give you some money for helping usually more than you really deserved and he was conveniently located by the gas station & dollar general!

He would teach us along with learning customer service, how to tell people the best way to pick out the good melons-knocking and listening for a hollow sound on the watermelons and smelling of the stem on the "musk" melons (aka cantaloupe) He also taught us how to count money and give correct change, and most of all he quietly taught us his countenance by his example and the things he didn't say made him to be the most wonderful Grandpa!


Every year he would want pictures of the kids next to some of his biggest melon finds in the patch.




A lot of his kids now have melon "patches" in his memory. We miss him here on this earth- someone solid to go to for anything whether it be a question about raising melons or just a plain ol' question. He was loved by so many people and his legacy still lives on to this day. He definitely left some big shoes to fill but his example taught us how to fill them.

Day 9: Someone I Love

Someone you love... That is hard to do as easy as it is to say someone that comes to your mind really quick when asked the question, as I looked through my pictures...and boy did I look through my pictures! I looked through the years went way back...WAY back...and you know what I felt? Completely Blessed, all the love that was shown through those pictures, people that I once was close to, and maybe have moved away or our lives aren't as close now as they once were- but how many people that I wanted to include in this post... the list goes on and on.... I truly was overcome with gratitude and realized how much I really did take for granted all of the special times I've had with all those very special people... so to ALL of you. I love you!

And because they kinda go together like peas in a pod, pizza & pop, and all of the other cliches there are.... I couldn't cut out one...Love these guys! As much as they get on my nerves at times, they're my siblings and how couldn't you love them all the more! ;-)

I have very bad habit ..... I put up this simply said... but somehow I automatically forget what it says. It doesn't matter how fast you go on the way to work, I eventually end up here... To pay a total of

Day 7: Fruit

I caught this in action... On our houseboat in Lake Powell- cutting fresh strawberries for supper! Yum!

Days 5: From a High Angle

Sorry a little behind... Day 5 was from a High Angle... I climbed on my roof for this one! This is the sidewalk leading to the front door.

Day 4: Something Green

This is a picture Kara took with my camera while we were raking hay out on the farm! I absolutely Love visiting "the farm" aka Thad & Kara! Miss you! This post is for you! ;)

Speaking of "The Farm"... Here is a snippet of life on the farm, with Green things :)

Raking Hay 101:

First: you get instructions from the hubby...

Second: you break out the Pop Ice out of the cooler! *(yes we sit Three people on an no cab tractor- its the way to do things!)

Third: you watch the GREEN tractor bale a few rows over...

There it comes... The baler giving birth to the bale. ;)

Forth: you just sit, hang out and relax as you rake up the hay!

Fifth: you jump off the GREEN tractor to pick up the pop ice cooler that you dropped previously... Quick before I run you over!

Sixth: You watch the GREEN tractor's - birthing baler get some assistance...

Not quite sure what is going on here with the birthing baler, this could be the epideral?

Seventh: You are done raking so you check with the hubby, driving the GREEN tractor to see what all he needs us to pick up at Rural King- a cool farm store that gives out free popcorn! ;)

Eigth: You look at the pretty field of freshly born hay bales.

Ninth: give your little brother-in-law a ride on the rake.

Day 3: Clouds

Sorry a little last minute on Day 3 post... 30 mins left to day 3 but here goes:

Last week I met this special little girl...and She actually "took" that picture of the clouds!

I was trying to get her to warm up to the camera just a little, letting her push the button to take the picture etc etc ... that shot is what she got... pretty good I'd say! :-) Lil' Hudsyn you might just be a photographer at 1 yr old!

Day 2: What I wore today...

I'm cooking and baking tonight, to take supper to my new little cousin Tucker Lee! Born 10/16!

My Lil Pumpkin

...so what did I do this past weekend? Borrow my little cousin and practice this pumpkin prop... ;-) It's ok babies like cold slimy pumpkiny things! Until they get tired of being trapped and are ready to GET OUT! Then is when you have to maneuver those lil legs out of whole thing! :)

Homecoming 2011

Homecoming was last weekend. My lil sis and her tall date ;-)

Funny Story: Jodi has a nice cushy job that let her off for the whole day saturday... Her date on the other hand- is a hard workin' man and worked up to the last minute. So Jacob gets home in time to quick shower & get ready for homecoming... He doesn't have time to wash the truck, or fill up with gas....

Dun-tada-Dun...

And Jodi on the other hand took 5 hours to ready herself :-D
